Cirrhilabrus Cyanogularis, also known by its common name Blue Throated Fairy Wrasse, is a species of the fairy wrasse family, which may also be known as Sailfin Fairy Wrasse.

This peaceful wrasse is a great addition to any Reef Aquarium adding stunning coloration. It has flowing red-orange fins, some with purple accents and their body has hints of red, orange, and yellow coloring. In addition to the beautiful colors, the Cirrhilabrus Cyanogularis has a vibrant electric blue coloring on its chin. Like other wrasses, the males during courtship will display increased color intensity. Colors may vary depending on the fish's mood.

The Blue Throat Fairy Wrasse is a very peaceful, active fish that will bring both color and activity to a fish-only or reef aquarium of 90 gallons or larger. Similar to all other wrasse species, it’s important to have a tight-fitting, secure lid on your tank to prevent escape.

Do not pair them with aggressive or territorial fish. They will not bother any corals or invertebrates making them a perfect fish for the reef aquarium. A single male can be kept with a group of females that is introduced prior to or at the same time as the male.

The Blue Throat Fairy Wrasse diet should include vitamin enriched frozen mysis shrimp, vitamin enriched frozen brine shrimp, and other meaty foods along with a high quality marine flake and marine pellet food. Several feedings a day should be adequate to keep your wrasse happy.
