Griessingei Goby (Discordipinna Griessingeri), commonly known as Spikefin Goby or Flame Goby, is a tropical marine fish native to the Red See.

The Griessingei Goby, features a silver-white color with black spotting on the face and red vertical lines along the body and red fins. The extreme anterior projection of the dorsal fin is eye catching. The Spikefin goiby is commly found around 1" in size but can get as large as  2". Very rare and stunning goby with peculiar swimming motion.

They are active and peaceful gobies that will make a wonderful addition to the saltwater reef or fish only aquarium. They will need a tank size minimum of 10 gallons and should not be in a tank larger than a nano as they could get lost in larger tanks or being consumed by larger fish. Griessingeri Gobys need plenty of sand and rocks to hide in.

They are very peaceful and can be housed with other peaceful fish in a reef tank setting, but will become territorial towards other blennies, gobies or dartfish in smaller tanks. The Griessingei Goby tends to do better singly or in pairs. Do not house these gobies with larger, aggressive fish or invertebrates.

Griessingei Goby is a carnivore and requires a diet rich in meat products. Foods like mysis and brine shrimp, high quality meaty frozen foods and high quality flake and pellet foods will keep your Flaming Prawn Goby healthy and happy. It needs to be fed twice per day.
