Golden Semilarvatus Butterflyfish (Chaetodon Semilarvatus) is know under many different names in English, such as Golden Butterflyfish, Yellow Butterflyfish, Bluecheek Butterflyfish, Redlined Butterflyfish, Addis Butterflyfish, Red Sea Butterflyfish,  Heniochus Butterflyfish, Heniochus Butterfly, and Heniochus Bannerfish.

The Bluecheek Butterflyfish has a bright yellow body marked with thin vertical red lines. There a greyish patch behind the eyes, whereas most related species have an eye bar. The dorsal, anal, pelvic and caudal fins are yellow. It is a relatively large species of butterflyfish which can attain a maximum total length of 23 centimetres (9.1 in), although 15 centimetres (5.9 in) is more typical.

A 125 gallon or larger aquarium with peaceful tank mates provides a good environment. The aquarium should have a lot of suitable hiding spots but also plenty of open area to swim around in.

They are very peaceful and can be kept with other peaceful fish, but may become aggressive towards other Butterflies with a similar pattern or coloration in smaller tanks. The Golden Semilarvatus Butterflyfish can be kept in pairs or small groups in a larger aquarium. Care should be taken when housing it in a reef aquarium as it will nip at stony corals & invertebrates.

This fish requires feeding several times a day, especially when newly added. A diet of vitamin-enriched live foods or fresh clams may be needed in the beginning. Provide herbivore preparations once the fish begins eating. When the fish can find its natural food in the aquarium it requires less frequent feeding.
