The Pink Spotted Watchman Goby (Cryptocentrus Leptocephalus) is also known as the Pink and Blue Spotted, Singapore Shrimp, Leptocephalus Prawn, or Pinkspotted Shrimp Goby.
The body is pale in colour with dark grey vertical banding that vary fish to fish on how strong in colour they are, in some fish they're almost invisible. The head and body are covered with pink spots surrounded by smaller blue spots. The Watchman also has a wonderful "frown" on its face making it seem constantly grumpy. Overall, this is one of the best all-around fish you can have in your tank. It is easy to care for, hardy, fun to watch, beautiful, and a wonderful tank mate.
It requires a 30 gallon or larger aquarium with plenty of loose coral rubble, ample swimming room, and a sand bottom for burrowing. It may try to jump out of the aquarium or other small openings, therefore, a tight-fitting lid is required.
Generally peaceful towards other fish and reef-safe. It rarely becomes aggressive towards other fish, but it is territorial, and will fight with its own kind unless they are a mated pair.
The Pink Spotted Watchman Goby diet should include a variety of mysis shrimp, vitamin-enriched brine shrimp, table shrimp, and frozen food preparations for carnivores. It should be fed at least twice per day.
Size: Medium: 2" to 3"; Large: 3" to 4"
