Amblyglyphidodon Curacao; also known as the Staghorn Damselfish , the Clouded Damselfish or the Bare-Snouted Sergeant Major; is a species of marine fish in the family Pomacentridae, the damselfishes and the clownfishes.
A small yellowish-green fish with a deep laterally compressed body and clear silvery scale edges. The tail has black edges and three darker vertical bars are sometimes present. They are covered with dark-edged scales that extend from the eyes to the end of the caudal fin. This species is a small sized fish that can reach a maximum size of 11 cm length.
As a rule, they are not whimsical and easy to care for. A 30-gallon or larger aquarium with plenty of live rock with multiple hiding places helps break up territories and decrease potential aggression.
As fish mature, they may exhibit territorial behavior towards their own kind or similarly sized fish. Some are especially aggressive in defending their territory; be careful when settling in an aquarium, as their small size can be deceiving; mature or established damsels may choose smaller or weaker fish or new arrivals.
These fish are generally not picky eaters. As to diet, will eat most regular aquarium foods, e.g., live fortified brine shrimp and/or finely chopped various frozen or fresh meaty foods such as mysis, squid, fish flesh, shrimp, clam, etc., and plant material, e.g., flake foods, especially those containing Spirulina and should be offered several times daily.
